  3. Then find the Font group, the text Font is located at the bottom of the ribbon.
  4. Then you can see a Borders icon drop-down list that is located behind the underline icon button U.
  5. Click the border drop-down list, then you can select the border style that meets your needs from the Borders sub-menu.
  6. You can draw borders, erase borders, and change the border line’s color & style from the Draw Borders sub-menu also.
  7. If you think this is not enough, you can click the More Borders… sub-menu item to customize the cell borders as you require.

  1. Select the Excel cell or multiple cells.
  2. Click the Home —> Fill Color dropdown icon.
  3. You can find the Fill Color dropdown icon behind the Borders drop-down icon in the Font group also.
  4. You can select the color from the Theme Colors group, Standard Colors group, and More Colors… group.
  5. If you want to remove the fill color from the Excel cell, you can click the No Fill checkbox.

2.1 Change Excel Cell Text Font, Size, and Color Use Ribbon Home Tab Font Group.

  1. Select the Excel cells.
  2. Click the Home tab —> Font dropdown list to change the cell text font.
  3. Click the Home tab —> Font Size dropdown list to change the cell text size.
  4. Click the Home tab —> Font Color dropdown list to change the cell text color.

2.2 Change Excel Cell Text Font, Size, and Color Use Excel Theme Settings.

  1. Select the Excel cells.
  2. Click the Page Layout tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click the Colors drop-down list in the Themes group to change the cell text color.
  4. Click the Fonts drop-down list in the Themes group to change the cell text font.
  5. Click the Effects drop-down list in the Themes group to change the cell text effect.
  6. Please note, that this method only takes effect when you have not changed the cell text font, color, and size manually before this action.

  1. Select the Excel cells that you want to change the style.
  2. Right-click your mouse key, then click the Format Cells… menu item in the popup menu list.
  3. It will open the Format Cells dialog.
